"How do I stop floating my third shot drop?"

N

The fix is contact point and intent. Brush under the ball with a slightly open paddle face and think 'arc over the net' not 'aim at the kitchen.' The ball should peak about 2 feet above the net and drop almost straight down. Most players miss by hitting too hard or too flat. Start with drop feeds at the baseline - 50 reps per session, alternating forehand and backhand.

"What is the best way to beat a banger?"

N

Absorb their pace instead of matching it. Soft hands and a reset dink will frustrate a banger far more than trying to out-speed them. Let the ball come to you, take pace off it, and land it soft in the kitchen. Bangers lose when they can not end the point early - extend the rally and let them make the error.

"When should I speed up vs reset?"

N

Speed up when the ball is above your opponent's hip and you have a clear angle - ideally at their right hip for right-handers. Reset everything else. The biggest mistake is speeding up too early from a neutral position. Patient players who only attack high balls win far more points than aggressive players who rush.
